What You're Training In
What is Fine Line Tattooing?
Fine line tattooing is one of the fastest-growing specialisms in the UK tattoo industry. It uses single needles or tight needle groupings to create precise, delicate work: thin lines, intricate detail, botanical designs, portraits, and minimalist pieces that simply cannot be achieved with traditional tattooing techniques.
The style is hugely in demand in Glasgow and across Central Scotland. Clients searching for fine line artists online convert at high rates, and established artists in the style are typically booked out weeks in advance.
Our Glasgow courses teach fine line from the ground up: needle science, machine setup for precision work, hand speed and pressure control, and the design principles that make fine line work last well on skin.
Fastest-Growing Tattoo Style in the UKSearch volume for fine line tattoos has grown over 300% in five years.
Higher Pricing PotentialFine line clients typically pay more per session than traditional tattoo clients, due to the skill and precision involved.
Broad Client DemographicFine line appeals to clients who would never visit a traditional tattoo studio, opening you up to a much larger market.
Works Alongside Existing SkillsIf you are already a tattoo or PMU artist, fine line is an add-on specialism that expands your bookings without replacing what you already do.

This Is for You
You've been staring at fine line tattoos on Instagram for months. You know this is what you want to do, or something to add to what you already do. But you're not sure where to start, whether you're good enough, or whether a course will actually get you to a point where you can charge clients.
We hear this from almost everyone who walks through our door in Glasgow. And almost everyone who completes one of our courses takes a paying booking within weeks.

"I came in with zero experience and left with the confidence to take on my first paying clients. The small class size meant I had the instructor's attention all day. I'd never have got that anywhere else."
"The 10-day course was everything I needed to change careers completely. I was working in an office six months ago. Now I'm fully booked and turning clients away. Glasgow made this possible."
"As a PMU artist transitioning into tattooing, I wasn't sure the course would suit me. It was perfect. The instructors understood exactly where I was coming from and tailored feedback to my specific situation."

Yes. In Scotland, tattooing is licensed under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, rather than the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 that applies in England and Wales.
